Any person or organization that believes in and is committed to participating actively in the achievement of ISSEA’s mission, upon approval of the Board of Directors, is eligible for membership.

Individual Membership:

The fee for individual membership in the International Systems Security Engineering Association (ISSEA) is $80 per year or $150 for two years. The Student Membership fee is $25 per year or $40 for two years.

Individual members enjoy the following rights and benefits:

• Reduced registration fees at all ISSEA sponsored workshops and at the Annual ISSEA Conference
• Timely information on all new SSE products and services
• Reduced fees for all products and services including training courses
• Advance notification of any proposed changes to the SSE-CMM with sufficient time to register comments and suggestions
• Systems Security Engineering advocacy to government and international groups.

Corporate Membership:

Organizations that wish to align themselves with the ISSEA organization may seek Corporate Membership status. There are five membership classes, according to the size and type of organization seeking membership. Class I membership is reserved for organizations comprising more than 500 persons; Class II membership is for organizations of between 50 and 500 persons; Class III membership is for organizations of from 10 to 50 persons; and Class IV membership is for organizations of fewer than ten persons. Class V memberships are reserved for Academic Institutions regardless of size.

The fees for Corporate Membership vary depending on the class of membership according to the following scale:

Class I — $5,000
Class II — $2,500
Class III — $1,250
Class IV — $500
Class V — $0

• Eligibility for a representative to be elected to the ISSEA Board of Directors
• Up to five complimentary individual memberships in the ISSEA, depending on the membership class. Class I organizations are allowed five individual members; Class II, three; Class III, two; and Class IV, one.
• Advance information on new products produced by the ISSEA
• A 10% reduction in fees for all ISSEA products and services including training courses
• Voting privileges on all changes to the SSE-CMM model and appraisal method
• Systems security engineering advocacy to government and international groups

Charter Membership:

ISSEA is proud to list Booz Allen Hamilton, EWA-IIT, EWA-Canada and Harris Corporation as its Charter Members. Each of these companies participated in the initial government sponsored SSE-CMM Project and have been involved with ISSEA since its inception.
